Hi guys, our ZL1 style side skirt sets come with .5" long self tapping screws. If the preferred choice is to go with pop rivets instead, we recommend using 3/16" diameter .5" long aluminum pop rivets. Drilling on the rocker panel is required for either option.
The side skirts have several pre-drilled holes located on the inner flange surface that can be fasten with the mounting hardware. These pre-drilled holes sit bellow the rocker panels and also on the lower angled edge of the rocker panel. Without the side skirt installed, the holes drilled on that lower angled edge may be visible from ground level. The side skirts can be attached to the Camaro combining the self tapping screws/pop rivets with double sided tape [not included] through out the flange surface for extra grip and help suck in any slight gaps. That being said, the location and amount of bolting points applied when securing the side skirts to the vehicle will be to the installer's discretion.
