I just don't want to spend $2,000 on a decent long tube setup if it is only going to net me 20hp when I can get close to that by spending $300 on a cat delete mid-pipe. Would like to hear everyone's opinions but mostly I want to see someone that has dynoed their car with just having cat deletes and then dynoing it again after long tubes. Highly likely I won't see that difference.

Thanks
from what I've seen (and I'm sure someone can correct me with links if I've not got this right), but headers WITH a tune is giving about 30rwhp, a tune is giving 15-20 so the headers themselves are around 15hp

secondary cat delete was something like 5hp, all the cats gone would be something like 10hp

having said that, once you get in to full bolt ons and cams or superchargers then they become a bit more necessary, but for a close to stock car, not so much
