I notice it too. I think the heat in the pads and rotors after stopping then engaging the E brake makes the pads seat on the rotor and after the spring is released the pads are kind of stuck on the rotor. I can feel it in the clutch pedal, it takes just a slight movement of the car for the pads to release. My Caddy does the same thing if it sits too long.
