I know this because I saw him fill the jug from the bulk tank and carry it over, pour it in and then get ready to start the car.

My old fat body never moved so fast but I tore out of the service waiting area and into the bay area. The manager comes after me advising I'm not allowed back there. As I get to the car I said "don't start it yet!!". He looks at me. I asked him if we can check the stick before he cranks it. He's nice about it and obliges but couldn't find oil on the stick. The manager is still asking me to leave the area so I explain I saw only 8 quarts go in the car. He even quips that it requires 10 and is on the service order. The technician admits he only did 8. Whew.....

He tops it off with two more quarts then checks the stick again. Now he is saying its till low and I told him to wait until it settles. After about 10 minutes all is well.

The manager apologizes profusely and offers me swag. I told him I didn't understand why there was an issue since this crew has been so awesome in the past. Answer was a new team member. Guess more training required.

Anyway....all is good. I'm sure when he started it and saw the pressure sucked he would have caught it. 2 quarts down for a warm start wouldn't do much but still.

Have a great weekend all.

Dang! Like Heath said I would've done the same as well as I change my own oil.

As for where to dispose of it for free and legally: AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, O'Relieys for sure. I would imagine Pep Boys and Napa would too.
