The wife called the dealership about getting the rail car number so we could track the car across the country. They were clueless... "Never heard of such a thing"
But I did hit up the chat on chevrolet.com and got the following information:
"Based on my research, your vehicle is in transit via train around 1:00 P.M. It was last seen in North Plate in West Nebraska. It's destination is in distribution center in Salt Lake, Utah. The estimated time of arrival is on September 21, 2017. Once there, please allow the courier some time to unload the vehicle from the train. We would recommend for you to call us back on the 23rd of September."
So I'm thinking they can give rail car number if you can't get it from the dealership.
