I just installed the GM splash guards. Very easy install!
Tools:
Trim tool to remove push pin
Phillips screwdriver
Hand riveter
Here's the front:
It is so much easier to remove the wheels to do this install. And you can clean the wheel well carpet with a stiff bristle brush while you are there.
Pop the head of the push pin up and remove. It will not be re-used.
Pull back the liner so you can install the supplied clip nut over the existing hole.
Put liner back in place and screw the supplied mounting bracket in place. Push the bracket up against the body. It has markings or indentations at the point that it rests.
Clean the body where the splash guard will adhere with IPA or a surface stripper like Chemical Guys WipeOut surface cleaner.
Put splash guard in place and line up holes. Use a hand riveter and the supplied rivet to fasten splash guard to bracket. Start with the bottom hole.
Fasten a rivet to the top hole, leaving the middle hole open so you can remove the tape liner. Peel back the tape liner to expose the tape adhesive and press splash guard against the body.
Install rivet in middle hole.
Boom! Splash guard installed!
