Yes. It creates a map file on that sdcard. I set my finish line at Autobahn once in the morning and it kept it all day through multiple sessions and start/stop of the engine.
If you format the card, change cards or set a new .map file, it will overwrite it.
I've been thinking about copying mine off and archiving it for ACC and the same with Road America. This way I can just swap them back in as needed and they should still work.
Will need to test that out.
