Post tb the air is not compressed yet. In the lid, the air is compressed and has gained heat from the compression. If you inject water/meth at this point the vaporization of the mixture will decrease the charge air temp.
The procharger intakes that have been modified with wmi achieve that and with that setup it's theoretically possible to lower the charge air temp below ambient since the wmi is after the intercooler also.
