Regardless if not crystal clear accurate, there is no refuting the efficiency that can be had. Yes, I use the computer to track my MPG and review at each fill up. So even if it's inaccurate by about 2 MPG, means I'm still doing above 32/33 on highway and 16/20 in city.
Also, manual is rated at 25 and auto is 28 on highway.
