Every car will puke some oil. I didn't have a can on my Vette and beat up a proverbial snot out of her for several yrs of track duty. Never an issue. Then got talked into a can which cost me a few hundred bucks all in and of course it was catching oil as ANY can will. But for what actual benefit I am completely unsure of (other than supporting jobs of course). But if it makes ya feel good - why the heck not. And if warranty isn't a priority - then just go for it.
