I've brought this up as well, and was told no, when they put a M6 guy who swapped his street tires to a different brand (not drag radials or anything like that either).
I totally agree that people will have to replace their tires, and they may not buy the same ones...heck, at some point they won't even be made anymore. So then what, everyone is "bolt on"? I say if they are the same size, who cares. The car is still stock!
