Heckler45 you may want to consider a paint coating, it's will give you the longest most durable protection, it is slick so washing will be easier. Once applied it would make your car the easiest to take care of and I think that's what you are looking for.
Like mentioned VRT and In & Out Spray works great on all your black trim.
