DSC V2 Controller Installed & Review

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased the DSC v2 controller and had the pleasure of testing it for a couple hours now. My general use case is as a daily driver and for entertainment, I have not taken my car to the track. With that in mind the installation is suppose to be fairly simple. I requested that future boards going out are 1/2inch shorter for the 2SS Camaro as the fitment is pretty tight. Additionally since its a pin connector if you do not connect it perfect you can get a warning that your suspension needs maintenance. I had to get the part replaced as a pin was slightly out of position. Once I installed the replacement I haven't had an issue yet.

The controller makes a noticeable difference and its easy to test by swapping the stock controller and the DSC v2. Touring is not only more gentle but you feel more confident in turns and I do not get any floating feeling. In track mode I drove out to Mexico and was impressed with how I was able to corner. At the very least this component inspires confidence. I had a test with my wife to guess what part was in and she was able to point out the difference. Her exact words were the stock controller feels "clunky" compared to the DSC V2.

Technical mishaps I would like to note to prevent people from being as dumb as me.
1) You can use WD40 to make the connector slide on easier, be careful not to get WD40 on the pins. If the pins are not fully connected or if you get WD40 on the pins and start your car your going to throw like 15 codes. Do not panic just unplug and make sure the pins are clean and put it back together. Then disconnect the negative terminal and walk away for 15 minutes and come back. Your car will start and should have no codes.
2) Check which way the pins are, one side is a 1 straight line and the other side is two rows. You wont bend the pins but you could sink the pins which can cause connectivity issues. I think this is how I messed up my first one.

I'd like to note that the shop was extremely helpful and took my calls. When I needed a replacement they sent it as a overnight. They stated if any firmware updates happened in the future they can send a board out and I can send mine to them. While I was nervous about my original board showing issues I'm glad I learned how helpful the shop was.

Edit: Had connection issues with the second board. Ending up returning and going to see if other folks are having issues. I spoke with the shop several times attempting to resolve the issue but for whatever reason I kept getting suspension warnings on the dash.
