What is interesting is that both Motor Trend and Car and Driver specifically mentioned that they use the No Lift Shift algorithm on non-1LE SS cars. Al O. also mentioned at the Camaro Fest 7 in Bowling Green that the feature exists on the SS (although I didn't probe further to confirm he was talking about the non-1LE SS).

I wonder if there's something goofy in the software where only cars with MRC got the No Lift Shift feature enabled (or something similar to that).

Could be a calibration mistake that only made it out for certain configurations of the non-1LE SS.
