Some weren't so lucky. They put it all back together, new windshield and all, and the defrost vents were leaking almost as bad as before repair.

Anyone having this done should communicate to service to check for leaking air after repair, but BEFORE windshield reinstalled.

If it's still leaking, they need to leave the windshield out and continue diagnosis and repair until very little air leaks out the defroster.

Check the repair when picking the vehicle up from service. Simply feel for the air with your hand.
I'll add - check before you drop it off and after the repair. I checked after and it felt minimal, but there was no improvement in condensation. Obviously it was leaking much prior to the fix, but I didn't think to check it before dropping it off.
