I have little doubt they'll move to a variant of the Giorgio chassis (like the Alfa Romeo Giulia) in the near future.
The Giulia has 99 problems, but the chassis ain't one, so I think this move would at least get it in the ballpark of the Camaro, and probably surpass the current Mustang.
