I never found positive confirmation but I know for a fact AA uses BT since it has to be on to work. Obviously that would be how it handled calls and voice commands but I couldn't find anything to prove it didn't use it for music apps as well. The way it handles pausing music for voice/calls also seems to be just like BT. But BT will never handle the size of the data stream needed for AA to work anyway. Wireless AA is going to use some form of WiFi (likely WiFi Direct) whenever it comes.
