Better gearing and probably a better stock converter will really help the 18 car. Artificially giving it better low end...which supposedly doesn't matter...

true but the lower low end torque helps with getting off the line without going up in smoke. when I went from a 2010 SS to a 2011 Mustang 5.0 I was almost certain the Camaro was faster but a trip to the track proved I was wrong. the Camaro was hard to launch without smoking the tires where the Mustang could launch easily with street tires and ran .5 seconds faster overall. in my opinion the new generation Camaro is Butt ugly as is the 2015 and later Mustang so until gm or Ford make a car I like looking at I will wait to buy my next car.
