ZL1 was keeping a respectful distance the entire time. If the GT decided after a given turn that he was going to floor it for the first time, if the ZL1 wasn't expecting that of course it's going to pull a massive distance...
Again, this was a non-sanctioned track event, not a race. If the GT driver started fish-tailing because of his inability would you say the ZL1 has better handling too? This is all apples to oranges until there is an intentional head to head exhibition.

Go back and watch the video. At 3.14 the ZL1 is at WOT and is getting pulled HARD. This wasn't because the ZL1 wasn't expecting it, it was because the GT is f'ng fast.
Yes, this was a public track event...and not much can be concluded in regards to total performance. Let's not pretend however that the ZL1 was "keeping up" based off of mechanical abilities.
