I feel the same way. The fractional improvement this may provide in certain scenarios isn't worth it unless you're competitively driving the car, in which case as you said it would be better to get DSSV's or aftermarket dampers. IMO money would be better spent on track specific tires/consumables/track day fees for more seat time.
