“Being Stupid” Buddy of mine were at the Fbody Gathering 2 in Atlanta GA back in 1998 picture a Sport Gold Metallic Z/28 and a Black WS6 Trans Am sitting at a traffic light in the turn lane. Across the street is the Waffle House what we did not notice was the cop car sitting in the parking lot and what else we did not know is he was already calling in for backup. Well seeing these two young guys with V8 engines see a green light my buddy takes off and goes sideways, and I take off and go sideways next thing you know we see the light turn on behind me. We both pull over in our hotel parking lot. Well next thing we know 3 more squad cars show up. The office got out and asked me what I was doing I said “being stupid officer” he looked at me and proceeded to my friends car to ask him and he responded “being stupid” fast forward a good 20-25 minutes later (well it could have been quicker but it felt that long).

My buddy pulls away, the office comes back and said it’s a good thing you two boys stopped because it would not be me chasing you it would be him, I look up and see the police chopper overhead. He tells me you stopped that is very rare since the interstate if a block away, you have a fast car go ahead and park it go into your hotel and have a good night. No ticket, nothing except the crowd of 30+ people outside the hotel watching us.
