Look into removing the secondary cats. That might give you the volume boost you are looking while costing maybe $100 with a decent exhaust shop.
I notice the exact same thing on my 2SS, so it's not a 1LE issue specifically. The problem is the chassis is so rigid that the motion is transferred through the car. Price of all that handling like you said.
