On a pro tree, electronics really help. Deep staging also will lower your reaction time, but ET's will be a tad slower.
Wow, I just looked closer at the timeslip. Losing by .04x. I bet the race was awesome. I know exactly how you felt all the way down the track. You were only a fender or so behind all the way to the finish (but thinking you were going to catch him).

LOL, exactly.
I had an awesome opponent. We actually agreed on the staging procedure before the race. I have to be at 3K on the leave to get my best times. The race before that I sat on the converter waiting for my opponent to hit the bottom bulb for at least 10 seconds or more. That cost me some 60ft and E.T. on that run. When the converter gets hot the car short shifts for some reason. I didn't want to duplicate that with our race.
There were 5 of us that were within .10. We all wanted to know who was the fastest in a fair race. We were both going to pre stage and then I was going to stage and come up on the converter and then he was going to bump in so we could go. We did that but I short footed my bump and only got to 2,500 when I saw his second yellow come on. I looked down at my tach and heard him leave so I just chased. I totally missed my rpm and the yellows. My bad. It looked like I was going to catch him a couple times. He spun a little off the line which saved me a little bit but he was still a car out at least by the 60ft. I thought I would get him in 4th and 5th. He got me by a fender or so. That turned out to be his highest mph by 1 or 2 that day.
I went over the log last night and it spun on each shift. The track was just to hot and they were only prepping to the 60ft or so. I am not sure the last time they prepped before our run. I asked for it but it didn't happen. I doubt solid traction all the way down would have gotten me the win light but it would have made it closer. I was literally yelling "c'mon b***, you got this" at my car like an idiot all the way down the track. She didn't agree.
