It takes a big man to admit his mistakes. Sounds like you learned a valuable lesson (or two), so good for you.
If I were in your shoes, I'd look for a car that costs between $6k and $10k. A small loan to help you get a more reliable vehicle (which should be the main factor in your decision here) isn't a bad idea, but if you can get a car in good shape without taking out a loan, that would be ideal. Once you've finished school and have a solid job you can count on, then you can get another Camaro!
