Be sure to check on inusurance rates also BEFORE you buy that cheaper car. Just because the car is cheap doesn't mean the insurance will be. You may find Hondas or other "tuner-type" car models may be cheap...but the insurance may be high due to theft or accident records for that particular model. You may find that one Honda is cheap while the other is expensive. I'd see what you could find that is newer and still has a warranty-as you don't want to put out alot on repairs either. I'd stay away from 3rd and 4th gen cars in your situation as I think you'd be better served with something "sporty" but reasonable on gas, payments, and insurance.

You might check out dealer lots for leftover G5's even...might could find one a dealer wants to unload to clear out inventory. I bought a G6 for mudane duty at our house...its plain jane, but it gets the job done and I don't mind leaving it in the driveway (none of our other cars sits out).

Good luck with your decision and THANK YOU (with all sincerity) for not becoming another "whining victim" in the world of finance. There are plenty of people that aren't as smart as you that will stretch their budget to its seams to buy a car/house/boat/tv/etc. then sit around and b*tch about not having money, not being able to repair things, etc.

You seem like you've got a bright future...the Camaro will ALWAYS be there in one form or another when you are ready for it.
