Ant, find something used that you can pay off. That way you won't have the burden of a car payment to think about. Find something that is in good shape so you don't have to worry about repairs. Good luck!
Oh and it takes a big person to admit publically that they were wrong. Nothing wrong with making mistakes. Each one is a learning experience.
