How did you get your impingement fixed? Therapy or surgery?
My right shoulder is severely limiting my lifting potential. I have been using machines lately rather than free weights because of this, and on the chest presses I find myself not lifting as much as I can because of my right shoulder wanting to give out/ache with pain when I start putting on the weight. I can do 2 plates each side of a chest press machine just fine, I can even do 3 plates each side for about 3 sets/6-8 reps, but on that 3rd set my right shoulder just starts killing me. I'm afraid to go back to free weights or try maxing out. I've tried range of motion exercises, stretching, not much is helping.
