You're right, that sucks. I have the OEM black painted wheels that GM replaced because the paint was starting to peel off. The dealership told me to only use soap and water on the replacements, rather than wheel cleaning chemicals. I treated them with CQuartz and Reload soon after I got the car back from the dealership. Just moving them around in my garage and leaning them against stuff, I scuffed them slightly here and there. I swear the paint on the OEM wheels is more delicate than the paint on the car itself.
What kind of wheels are those? I wonder if you have any recourse with P&S. I would bet they have some sort of disclaimer that says "try it on some inconspicuous spot first", which nobody ever does. Good luck, I hope you get this squared away.
