Subtracting 300lbs from the inertia of braking and cornering made a bigger difference than I expected. I guess that's partly why the V6 was faster around the Lightning Lap than the Mustang GT.

weight reduction, chassis stiffening, weight distribution, transmission. Definitely makes a difference even if engine power output remains the same.
