Some video from Laguna Seca, car was back to showroom for this event and I have to say I had a blast. The car felt way better this weekend on stock wheels/tires than it did last weekend on 305 square NT01's. With that said, my 19 wheels are slightly bent, the track last weekend was pretty green, and I also approached my driving style slightly differently this weekend.

The car pushes a bit with the G3's, but I felt that it was predictable and it was easy to balance. Whereas last weekend the car felt all over the place. It would push some corners and be loose others, it wasn't the most fun car to drive on the Nittos. If I had to guess I would say some of that comes down to driving style, but I really think it has something to do with the ballooned front tire, while it's not extreme, a 305 really needs to be on an 11" wheel to prevent any vague-ness and maintain that precision the stock set up has. I'm going to play with wheels and tires some more, first up may be to try an 11" front wheel.

This was the 5th track day on the car and the stock pads finally reached the end of their life. Laguna is in my mind the hardest track on brakes in California and the stock pads survived 2 track days there. They DID fade, and as the day went on I needed to mellow out in the braking zones, but it was a predictable fade and I was able to easily finish both days. As Ive said before, still blown away by this car in showroom form.

Randy's 137.8 is FLYING. I can pick up some time in turns 4, 6, corkscrew and 9, but damn, I don't know about 1.6 seconds!
