I checked everything and then rei stalled the stock system. Car ran fine. Rei stalled the after market--- same issue. And back and forth two more times to make sure I didn't mess up the install SOMEHOW.
Anyone have any ideas before I send it back?

Sounds like a bad sensor rather than anything to do with the actual porting work.
Maybe check the connection where the plug goes in and ensure there's no debris or anything in there that would prevent a good connection with the plug.
I'm sure whoever you got it from will take it back if it's defective.
