Yes the car is pretty consistent but I did discover a couple things. First, like my 5th gen, this car does suffer from heat soak. The 11 coolers the car comes with may help in an all day track outing where air is always blowing across their surface, but in drag racing where the car sits after a pass, they may not be quite a effective.
After making my first pass of the day (11.32 @ 128.3), I let it sit for around a half hour. I checked the intake and found it significantly hotter than after I had made the pass. On my second pass (11.42 @ 125.5), it was clear that heat soak had killed it's performance. Fortunately, I had planned for this. I brought along a couple portable fans along with a couple bags of ice for the intake, and let the car sit for an hour to cool down. My next pass got me an 11.24 @ 123 (mph clock was screwed up in the rt lane). As a point of reference, a buddy who was running his Z06, also ran 123 in that same lane. His car is a consistent 128 - 130 mph car at every other track he races. When he moved back to the left lane, his mph was back at 128.
On my final pass of the day, after another long cool down, I got a little too aggressive with the launch, got a little spin, and the 60' dropped slightly (1.757), but was still happy to run 11.28 @ 128.9.
By turning all the nannies off, I'm able to launch the car without any computer intervention...just the way I like it. I hope this helps some of you guys who plan on giving the track a try. It really is a fantastic car and I'm really thinking that someone will get a 10.99 out of it on street tires when the good weather gets here.
