A little off topic, but I am reminded by Ford's constant advertisements of an aluminum truck bed...until Chevy quickly showed what a falling toolbox does to that truck bed. Ford quickly cancelled that advertisement. I have not seen it since.
Was it a mistake? Not really, because aluminum has it's advantages. Probably just not in a work truck.
The comparison will be interesting, but not really a fair comparison (weight, no back seat, wheels, tires in the R), and the ZL1 shines as an all around car, if not a touring car.

A bed liner would fix all of that and be lightweight. I still would not buy it
