First, the vitesse does not remove lag or any other device that messes with the TPS so let's not go into that subject.

I've heard a tune can do it, is there any truth to this? I've never had a Chevy product before so I'm not familiar with what's out there for reprogramming parameters in the factory ECU. It would be great if I could connect to the the ECU with my laptop and modify parameters as I saw fit. Or load a modified tune from a vendor. I'm not interested in changing fuel, timing or anything else...all I care about is removing the throttle lag.

This is on a 6spd SS is that makes a difference.
