I'm up to 2200 miles so far and still love the A10! No problems. Just pure engineering genius. It still amazes me with the downshifts from 10th to 3rd. It seems to drop those gears by the time your foot hits the floor with the peddle and instantly pins you back. Then when you start picking up the pace on a curvy road and the tranny automatically goes into performance shift mode and drops gears as you enter that first curve at a pretty good clip....just marvelous. Then for roll races, I found that a quick full throttle blip, puts the tranny into performance shift mode and the lowest possible gear without the car accelerating. Really cool stuff! If you launch from a stop, you get those wicked sounding upshifts in the first few gears, as the fuel and ignition are cut between shifts. It's easily the most fun car and tranny I've driven.
Then if you want to take a relaxing cruise, the shifts are unnoticeable, if it wasn't for the sound of the engine changing. To top it all off, I've averaged 28.9 mpg over a 25 mile stretch and 27.5 mpg over a 50 mile stretch. Even at interstate speeds of 70 mph + the instant fuel economy reads between 27 and 28 mpg when on level ground.
Still waiting to get the car on a drag strip to see what kind of times I can get. Even without heating the tires up with a burnout, I can pretty easily hit 3.8 0-60, with a 3.7, and a 3.6 as my best so far, on the street, so I'm hopeful I can shave another tenth or two with a burnout at the strip.
