the page after you posted is confusing, first column says not to use probably second column says it's OK.… LOL... It comes from dealers using the poly glycoat type coatings of the 80s and 90s that didn't work very well and GM had a problem.
You can seal/wax the carbon fiber all you want, what you shouldn't do is use a cleaner wax or a very strong rubbing compound/polish, just wipe it down with alcohol/water and put on your favorite sealant or wax.
