Popping a ring is, usually, not that bad. Blowing chunks out of the bottom end and having rotating parts fly to the floor is a nightmare.
We have a good handful of FI gen6's in the hands of some abusive folk... I'm guessing these are just the few bad eggs some people get unlucky with :/
