Your car’s computer monitors many variables. Based on the design engineer’s algorithms, your car’s computer can (and does) reduce your accelerator input under certain conditions.Most often from initial takeoff (under heavy throttle) to reduce wheel spin.

This is done for safety reasons as well as reducing stress on drive train components. Some believe our ZL1’s are too aggressive in reducing power.Computer programmers can reduce (or eliminate) these reductions at the cost of a voided warranty in many cases.

That’s my short version anyway! I’m sure others can go into much more detail!
