Other than the pre-order pricing people who were willing to put money down based on the plug and get it at below my cost for ordering MONTHS before they got it, the hood has ALWAYS been priced at $950.
It's been ON SALE for $850 for a couple weeks with $200 shipping.
Right now it's normal pricing, $950 and shipping is only a dollar.
If you want me to put shipping back (at one point shipping was $150 then I got my actual freight bills and ALL were OVER $200 so I sat it at $200, you're still paying less than the actual cost of shipping) and put it on sale at $850 again I will, current sale is $100 cheaper than it has been though
Feel free to buy the goofy lines of the ZL1 Carbon Fiber knock off made out of the USA, no one is stopping you. Our parts got GM's attention (we're in talks of LLP) because our designer made sure even the radius' on the hood lines matched every where else on the car.
Our hood bolts right on, scuff and paint, 100% made in the USA and it definitely cost me a LOT more to make than even other hoods I've had done here (like our Silverado hood) but it's also 100% worth it.
I have no problem paying my vendor more for the quality and I definitely am not going to apologize on pricing considering the design and quality you're getting. I've seen the other hoods in person, you get what you pay for.
