I am taking my Fifty in soon for clear bra paint protection. I was going to not wrap the hood because of the matte stripe in the middle (shiny film over matte).
The shop says they can custom cut film and do gloss over gloss and matte over matte. This sounds nice for protection, but would add a bunch of extra seams.
So, what did you 50 folks do for paint protection? Most of what I saw in the other forum had glossy stripes.

If you like the matte center stripe I would definitely not clear bra cover the hood and turn it glossy because then it will likely blend so much with the rest of the painted areas of the same color and just look like a hood with a strange center stripe seam. I already see that now with all the pics that get posted of Fifty's or the ones on FB. With the lighting and angle just right you can barely make out the center stripe on the hood so clearing it would gurantee it will be even harder to see.
I believe your only choice is to have the shop use the matte film for the center stripe. The seams shouldn't look any more noticeable and may look no different than the already present edge of the vinyl now.
