Keep in mind when debating GM's off road (track/drag strip) warranty and how restrictive it is on modifications - they are one of the very few to even give that warranty. Most car makers have explicit language that warranty is voided with any failure that occurs in an off road setting even if the car is still factory stock. I'm not defending GM's position per se - just adding some context to the discussion.
