Ones more thing to keep in mind, the roads you have when you drive the car, where we are at there good roads, if you live in a big city and there not in good shape, well you will hate the ride.
A very good point, too!

I have the DSSV setup on my 1LE, like someone mentioned earlier. And on nice roads, even nice roads with some dips and small holes...it's genuinely not bad at all. The control and precision the suspension setup offers makes it an incredibly pleasurable car to drive even at 35!! (Though...its MORE pleasurable at higher speeds. )

But I drive a mix of city and rural streets....I discovered about 6 months into daily driving the car...that when I drive through the city, I am 1000% more aware of potholes, manhole covers, and other imperfections in the surface of the road, and when I can't swerve to avoid one (or many)...I ride the car like a horse (straight up posture, and pull my torso away from the seat). All subconscious.

I also can't press buttons on the MyLink screen without bracing my hand against the dash while on non-perfect roads.

And driveway lips (anything bigger than .5") feel like driving off a cliff.

It is the whole reason that the NVH teams that GM has now have a tough job in pleasing everyone. Case in point, my 2016 GMC Sierra crew cab with the 6.2/6L80 setup. Things has gobs of power, more than once it has embarrassed another drive thinking it cant get out of its own way. The powertrain engineers though have the transmission programmed though so that it shifts so soft, my only guess is that so the large demographic of owners don't complaint about a harsh down/up shift.
Two interesting points there...

#1 is the people who buy these cars and then complain. It still happens with SS and 1LE models from time to time where buyers expect it to come with all-season tires, and complain it doesn't. Or when the Gen 5 1LE came out, and folks squawked about how rough it was to drive....couldn't believe it was so harsh and uncomfortable....it became quickly apparent that those people bought it for the black wheels and black hood, with no interest in the performance benefits. So, I think it's that crowd that the Camaro people are trying to politely dissuade from buying ZL1 1LEs.

#2 is the NVH thought. When they developed the 5th gen ZL1, I remember Al commenting that he had to fight the NVH people to get the car to bark and crackle, and use stiffer chassis bushings to constrain the suspension.

It would seem...that as soon as they "let" him do that to the ZL1, the floodgates opened, and here we are.
