Finally made it back track to see how the latest tuning, throttle body, and pulley changes impacted the car's ET.
I had a personal goal of seeing a 9 second pass out of this car before any engine mods and that has now been accomplished!
I'm not just happy, I'm ecstatic! These LT1s are amazing! Single digit timeslip with a completely stock LT1 engine (valve covers never removed, still running through stock exhaust manifolds and catalysts), stock transmission, and ZERO weight reduction...
Want a 9 second car for yourself? It's this easy - modifications are as follows:
Magnuson Heartbeat DI supercharger with 75mm pulley (13.8 psi)
Nick Williams 103mm throttle body
Rotofab Dry CAI
Lingenfelter Big Bore HPDI fuel pump
LT4 fuel injectors
ZL1 in-tank fuel pump
AEM Water Injection kit (running 50/50 water meth)
VP 109 (105 octane) fuel
Carlyle Racing 15" rear conversion kit
Mickey Thompson 275/60/15 pro radials and weld wheels
Next up - thinking about a cam with bigger fuel lobe and more boost! (As I'm pretty much at the limit of the fuel system again.) I'll keep you posted.
