Here we go again.....the debate on whether it's good for blow by oil to go into your intake manifold and get burned up will go on forever. I personally can't see how this can be good for the long run, but others seem to think that if GM thought the engine needed it they would of engineered it that way. The truth is average people can't be trusted to clean them out regularly so they didn't. The only solution was to route it back through the intake manifold. In the real world it wouldn't hurt to add one because they DO serve a purpose. People are not adding them for their looks. The dealership might use it against you though to try and void your warranty. I would install it yourself so you know how the process is and if you ever have to take it in for anything just try and remember to remove it before. That is what I plan to do cause I am in the belief that they are needed for longevity. I try to avoid my dealership as much as possible anyway. If you don't plan to keep the car for longer than say 4 years then no way would I even bother. What's the point?
