That's a very good thing, because if you search for it there's a thread by someone who DID have a problem and the dealer voided their warranty because of the catch can and logged it in the system on their VIN so it is on their car no matter which dealer they go to. It's like a 20 page thread. Not good.
Seems to me warranty application and interpretation is a variable by dealer. Which it should NOT be. The final decision should always be General Motors - the warranty is backed and supported by General Motors, and GM pays the dealer for the warranty work. If it was me, frankly, I'd welcome warranty work on any car even if the owner had built the damn thing into a dragster. Whatever was broken I'd submit all the information to GM and let them decide, and I'd try to push them into honoring the warranty. Because it means more work for MY dealer, better customer service for MY dealer, and is going to make that customer spread the word that MY dealer took care of him.
