Back in the 80's I was checking out cars at a used car lot in Sunnyvale CA. A limo pulls up and a kid about 16 gets out with his dad. Kid walks into the office, picks up a set of keys and jumps into a Pantera. He can't drive a stick and kills it about 3 times getting it off the lot. The dad looks at me and says "Well, he'll win races with his friends in that!" I was only on my mid 20's, but I looked at the dad and said, "If he doesn't kill himself in it."
The dad looked at me like, crap, never thought of that. Got back into his limo and gets driven away.
Lots of big money here in the SF bay area. I get up on highway 9 and 35 a couple times a year on my bike. Seems like everytime i'm up that way i see a Porsche or Ferrari wrapped around a tree or another car with a young person next to it with the "holy crap" look on his face.
