Yes you do. The guy I was speaking with is probably the king of VVT cams. He has deleted the AFM lifters but is still running a VVT cam as far as I can tell. Actually, with this car, they are all VVT. It is just if you chose to use it or not I guess. I was pretty surprised when he said he was buzzing it to 7,500 with no issues. I usually even limit my LS7 cars to 7,200 even though they make power to 7,400.
