It seems that just the programming of the A8 really changes how well it performs. Maybe GM nearly got it perfect with the A8 programming for the 6th gen Camaro and then stepped it up even more with the A10?

Some people are mentioning clunky shifting with the A8 in vehicles besides the Camaro. I have never experienced clunky/abrupt shifts besides the first shift or two on a cold start.

My issue is the delay in paddles/stick shifts, be it up or down (I would say 100-150ms) with 0-50% throttle and it slowly engages the gear, presumably to reduce wear and have very smooth shifts (I can't feel it shift at all). This isn't so bad, but if I put it in sport, or especially track mode, I would want it to have higher response shifts and much faster/abrupt shifts to minimize how long the lock-up clutch is disengaged.

Bah, wish I could just slap in the A10 if it is as good as people claim. I am really curious since many of the new A10 owners are saying the same thing as the new A8 owners. Need actual videos to see what's up.
