Yes. Had the A8 in my '16 ss, just didn't do it for me. With a manual I feel more connected with my car. Feels like I'm driving the car not just riding in it. Not sure if that makes any sense, but that's how it feels to me.
Second, did you get the manual because you didn't want to wait any longer for the auto?
Didn't want the A10. Nothing wrong with an auto, just not for me 
Third, how do you feel about the car now that you've owned it?
Had it less than 2 weeks, but absolutely love it. No regrets getting the ZL1 and going with the manual.
