I tried not to chime in on this LOL. But now I have Train Spotting in my head, "You're going the wrong way". If you go taller on your tire choice if you trap anything over 116 you are only going backwards. In a car any faster than that that isn't running an 29+" tire you will have to execute a 4th shift . That 4th shift at a minimum takes .3 to execute. Shifting the 4/5 shift at 6,500 drops you down to 5,000 on the shift recovery. I was basically trapping 125 the other day and only going through the traps at 5,200-5,300 in 5th. It is also in 5th for 1.7 seconds and only gains 200-300rpm in that time. I am not sure how the gear splits in a M6 pan out but if you are running an A8 and don't go shorter on the tire side you are going the wrong way my friends.
